Current Need
Senior Project Manager - Software Development/Implementation

Position Description
Manage multiple complex software development and implementation projects having a significant impact on the profitability, operation and strategic direction of Claim Performance Solutions. Provide coaching and mentoring support to other Project Managers, which along with organizational influence differentiates a Sr. Project Manager from a Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Lead effort, in conjunction with subject matter experts, to define scope for major clinical software implementation projects.

2.Provide coordination and oversight of multiple projects across lines of business. Facilitate project planning of all aspects of development

3.Maintain and assure compliance to Mckesson project management guidelines and procedures. Aid in developing procedures.

4.Build team environment. Assure effective project communication, managing expectations with all levels. Effectively manage conflicts. Maintain strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders at all levels.

5.Manage progress of major software implementation projects assuring on schedule, on budget delivery. Effectively manage change.

6.Utilize project management tools to facilitate planning and tracking of large, complex projects.

7.Coordinate and maintain interdepartmental relationships/dependencies associated with major software development projects.


Requirements

Minimum Requirements
Requires 3-5 years experience in project management at a senior level.

Experience in managing virtual teams a plus.

Additional Knowledge & Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Solid project management and facilitation skills.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Experience in working with SAP or any PPM tool a plus.

Six Sigma Greenbelt certification a plus.

Education
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

Certifications/Licensure
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
