Position Description
The Clinical Content Release Manager is responsible for driving the development and execution of the CXT clinical content scope in alignment with the CXT product and content strategy to meet MHS financial and operational targets. The Clinical Content Release Manager leads content work groups to meet CXT clinical content deliverables that satisfy customer and business requirements. In addition to internal clinical content development management, this position is responsible to serve as project lead for the cross functional quarterly release team to drive operational success.

The person in this role will be responsible for people management tasks such as professional development planning, performance management, and personnel management.

Key Responsibilities -

1. Develops and supports a clinical development team through effective performance management that includes annual performance planning, evaluation and team development of skills and competencies necessary for career success.

- Act, as needed, as individual contributor to support content development and test efforts

- Collaborate with clinical resources and medical directors to assure clinical content accuracy and appropriateness for cross product consistency

2. Manages the quarterly content development and release process consisting of planning and execution to include:

- Tracking and managing the quarterly release cycle update; coordinates and assigns internal resources to content development projects and adjusts resources as needed.

- Supervising the content development activities of the clinical team to ensure quality standards are met; performance measurements are established and understood; development support or resource needs are identified and provided.

- Managing the QA and acceptance test efforts for quarterly release cycles.

- Maintain alignment with technical/software development as it relates to the clinical content release requirements.

3. Serve as clinical cross-functional lead that fosters operational and content knowledge integration that includes conducting/facilitating internal training on content, advising cross-functional departments on interpretation of clinical content


Requirements

Minimum Requirements
Education/Training:
Advanced training in Health Care/Hospital Administration is essential; Masters in Health Care Administration or comparable degree is preferred; alternatively, a Registered Health Information Administrator or equivalent healthcare experience preferably in claims management will receive strong consideration. Experience with inpatient/outpatient billing/claims is mandatory.

Business Experience:
Experience with inpatient/outpatient billing/claims; prior employement in management in claims department of health plan is desirable.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and computer skills required. Proficiency in applying decision tree logic to content development; CPT and ICD-9 CM and ICD-9 PCS; managed care; data analysis; Medicare billing.
